1. Od kod prihajaš in kako si se začel ukvarjati z glasbo? Si poklicni glasbenik ali se z glasbo ukvarjaš v prostem času?
Sem iz Glasgowa, mesta, ki ima enkratno glasbeno sceno. Začel sem v bandih in potem napredoval v plesno glasbo. Zadeva se je zgodila čisto organsko.

2. Kje in kako živiš zdaj in ali se tvoje okolje (mesto, država) odraža v tvoji glasbi?
Še vedno živim v Glasgowu. To je mesto z res pisano glasbeno zgodovino, ogromno ljudi počne zelo raznolike stvari in greš v lokal, kjer se zbirajo glasbeniki, se začneš pogovarjati z ljudmi, odkriješ novo skupino, za katero še nikoli nisi slišal, in evo, zadeva vpliva na tvoj stil. Rekel bi, da Glasgow pomaga glasbenikom, da so eklektični.

3. Ali si šolan glasbenik?
Ja, včasih sem celo učil klavir in trombon, že od malih nog sem igral tudi v različnih orkestrih.

4. So te starši podprli, ko si začenjal z glasbeno potjo?
Moji starši še vedno ne razumejo prav dobro, da je nekdo lahko poklicni glasbenik. Malo sta pač staromodna in zdi se jima, da bi si moral najti normalno službo. Če bi jima kdaj dovolil slišati Dolby Anol, dvomim, da bi jima bil zelo všeč.

5. Ali slediš trendom (glasba, moda,…) in ali se v tvojem glasbenem stilu odražajo trenutni trendi?
Rad bi mislil, da si ne prizadevam slediti trendom. Vedno znova ugotavljam, da moji najljubši izvajalci postanejo tisti, ki so si izoblikovali svojo nišo in svoj zvok ter so ob tem še vedno zelo uspešni. A vsake toliko časa pride mimo kakšen trend, ki je slišati tako dobro, da si enostavno ne moreš pomagati, da mu ne bi “sunil” kakšne synth linije.

6. Katera država oziroma glasbena scena je, po tvojem mnenju, trenutno najbolj kreativna?
Nisem gotov, a ker sem iz Velike Britanije, se mi zdi, da ima velikanski vpliv na splošno, globalno glasbeno sceno. A na področju plesne glasbe so Francozi tisti, ki prestavljajo meje in hkrati s tem služijo ogromno denarja.

7. Najljubši album vseh časov?

8. Zakaj je/so tvoj/i najboljši prijatelj/i tvoji najboljši prijatelj/i?
Ker me prenašajo, ko sem pijan in tečen, in so naslednji dan še vedno moji najboljši prijatelji.

9. Najljubša računalniška igrica?
System shock 2, kaj pa drugega!

10. Najboljša hrana za zajtrk in najboljša hrana za takrat, ko si prijan ob štirih zjutraj?
Zelo rad imam mešana jajčka z lososom, včasih pa mi pašejo preprosti ovseni piškotki, ki jih namakam v čaj. To je zelo škotska fora.

11. Če ne bi bilo nobenih omejitev (prostor, čas, ogrožene živalske vrste…) – katero žival bi si najbolj želel za domačega ljubljenčka?
Želel bi si nazaj svojo zajčico. Lani je poginila in bila je najboljši domači ljubljenček, kar bi si jih lahko želel.

12. Na kaj v življenju si najbolj ponosen?
Nisem zelo ponosen človek.

1. Where do you come from and how did you get involved with music?
I come from Glasgow, the city has a great music scene and I started out in bands and then progressed into dance music, it was an organic thing.

2. Where and how do you live now, does the place somewhat reflect in your music?
I am currently still living in Glasgow. The city has a really colourful musical past, there are so many people making different things and I guess through conversation in one of the music haunts you find a new band you never heard of and it makes you change your style. I would say Glasgow helps musicians be eclectic in that way.

3. Do you have some classic music training?
Yes, I used to teach both piano and trombone and was in various orchestras from a young age.

4. Were your parents supportive when you started your production/DJ career?
My Parents still don’t quite understand how someone can make a career out of music, but they are old-fashioned and just think I should get a normal job, I don’t think they would like Dolby Anol very much if I let them hear it!

5. Do you follow trends (music, fashion,…) and does your current music style reflect what’s trendy right now?
I would like to think that we don’t try to follow trends, I always find that my favourite artists are the ones who have carved their own niche and their own sound but still manage to be successful, though sometimes a trend comes along that sounds so good that you can’t help but nick the odd synth line from :)

6. Which country/music scene has the most creativity in musical output right now?
I’m not quite sure, being from the UK I would assume that it has a huge impact on the global music scene in general but for dance music I would say the French have been the ones who push the envelope but still manage to make loads of money at the same time.

8. Why are you best friends your best friends?
Because they can put up with me being drunk and annoying and still be my best friends the next day!

9. Favourite computer game?
System shock 2 of course!

10. Best breakfast food, best “I’m drunk and it’s 4 in the morning” snack?
I’m into scrambled eggs with salmon, although sometimes I just have some oat biscuits and dunk them in my tea, its a very Scottish thing to do!

11. If there were no limits, what pet would you most love to have?
I would want my rabbit back, she died last year and she was the best pet you could ever wish for.

12. What are you most proud of in your life?
I’m not a very proud person
